Altar Linen
Prepare the linens used during celebration of the Eucharist.

Altar Servers
Youth, adults, or families who assist the priest in the celebration of the Liturgy during Mass.

Art and Environment
Help decorate for the Liturgical seasons.

Bread Bakers
Bake the unleavened bread for the Eucharistic Liturgy.

Candles
Clean and replenish new candles in devotion to the Holy Family.

Eucharistic Ministers
Distribute the Body and Blood of Christ to our parish community.

Lectors
Proclaim the Word of God during Mass.

Life Night Band
Accomplished committed players who perform Sunday evenings during the Life Teen Mass.

Liturgy Committee
Participate in preparing the Liturgy elements for celebrating Mass.

Music / Choir
Sing or participate as a musician, accompanist, or cantor.

Pastoral Care for the Sick
Distribute Holy Communion to those who are shut-in or suffering illness preventing them attending Mass.

Sacristan
Assist the priest by making the physical preparation before and after Mass.

Ushers/Greeters
Welcome all those gathering for the Mass.

Community Outreach

Back Pack Program
Donations of food are collected to and given out by Piedmont & Stagebarn Schools to help supplement and support students and their families over the weekends and summer.

Boy Scouts / Cub Scouts
Serve as a role model teaching, training, and camping with the young boys sponsored by OLBH.

Card Ministry
Prepare and send cards to parish families experiencing special occasions or suffering a loss.

Coffee Hour
Provide a time to enrich community by serving coffee and rolls after Mass.

Funeral Committee
Prepare or serve food to families after funerals.

Knights of Columbus
Catholic men's organization to support our priest and our parish.

Peace & Justice Committee
Participate in mission projects providing service to others in need.

Piedmont Valley Food Pantry
Collect and organize food assistance to Black Hawk/Piedmont families.

Prayer Blanket Ministry
Make blankets for those of the parish who need prayers and comforting.

Prayer Chain
Pray for the intentions of others.

Stewardship Committee
Participate in hosting events to encourage friendship through fellowship.

Welcoming Committee
Welcome new parishioners to social gatherings and provide informative welcome packets on parish ministries and activities.

Widowed Women’s Group
Gather in fellowship for luncheons and special adventures.

Faith Formation Ministries

Catholic Men Alive
A program which encourages men to grow spiritually and enrich their faith so that they may become more aware of their responsibility to family, children, career and society.

Gatherings of Grace
Intergenerational faith formation for the whole community.

Life Teen / Edge
An international Catholic movement that serves the Church by providing resources and faith experiences that help lead teens closer to Christ with a vibrant Eucharistic spirituality and by creating opportunities for teens to grow in their faith.

Returning Catholics
Seeks out and encourages those who have left the church to return to their faith.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
Learn more about the Catholic faith and prepare to receive Holy Sacraments.

Vocations Committee
Help encourage vocations.

Youth Ministry
Adults and upper high school students who would like to be involved in our youth programs.
